Ultimate computer cockpits and zerogravity workstations on the market!
If a traditional desk and chair setup isn’t cutting it, these futuristic gaming and work pods might be all you need. Whether for gaming or productivity, they offer ergonomic support, immersive displays, and next-level comfort. Some matching those comfort levles of a zero gravity workstation. — A true game-changer for those who spend long hours at a desk.
Some setups feature triple monitor mounts, reclining chairs, built-in leg rests, and LED lighting, creating the perfect environment for work or play. However, these cockpits come at a hefty price, and if you’re considering a pod-style workstation, you’ll need to factor in space, delivery, and setup requirements.
I researched both high-end and affordable options, and I was surprised by how many big name brands brands now offer their own versions too. So, let’s dive into the best computer cockpits available today—and keep reading till the end for some budget-friendly alternatives!

But still, after researching both work stations and the more casual options, I was surprised to find quite a few popular brands now offering their versions of the too!
These are some of the best one’s I’ve found!
Imperator Works Easecomfy T2 Throne
First on the list if the Imperator Works Easecomfy T2 Throne.
This one really is a striking and futuristic addition to any high-end gaming or workstation setup that would be the center of attention in any room. One of the major highlights is its zero gravity reclining function, allowing users to adjust the chair to a fully reclined position for ultimate comfort during long gaming or work sessions. This workstation supports up to three monitors which can be extended to 5, and for those with ultrawide screens, it supports upto 49 inches.
The monitor position can be moved back and forward on this one which is a significant improvement from their older model, the IW-R1Imperatorworks which has limited monitor adjustment.
And the LED lighting integrated into the workstation adds to the aesthetic, creating a dynamic environment. The chair features an option for a massage function but keep in mind it would come at an added cost. The brand is also not very well know so that’s also something to consider if you prefer more popular brands.
Also, this is going to take multiple people to move and build so be sure to invite two to three people over to help you set up and expect it to take at least a day. Still, this one is pretty highly rated, and even though it’s pricey, it offers alot of value for overall features.
Key Features:
- Multi-Monitor Support & Ajustability – Holds up to three monitors, expandable to five; supports 49-inch ultrawide screens.
- Integrated LED Lighting – Enhances aesthetics and immersion.
- Optional Massage Function – Available at an extra cost.
- Reclining – Upto 128 degrees
Things to Consider:
- Setup Complexity & Weight – Requires 2-3 people for assembly; may take a full day. Heavy at around 136kg.
- Less popular brand & Still Pricy
Acer Predator Thronos Air
For a more popular brand, Acer, with their PREDATOR THRONOS AIR offer their version of the computer cockpit.
But this one is made more as a high-end gaming chair that focuses on providing an immersive gaming experience rather than for work. It’s the design that gives that away, it features a robust steel frame with a distinctive Predator design, capable of supporting up to three monitors or an ultrawide display.
It can recline all the way up to 130° and this one includes a massage function for enhanced comfort during extended gaming sessions. But do keep in mind that not only is this one huge in size, it’s also very expensive and only a luxury option really.
Key Features:
- High-End Gaming Focus Steel Frame with Predator Design – Durable build with an aggressive gaming aesthetic.
- Multi-Monitor Support – Holds up to three monitors or an ultrawide display.
- 130° Reclining & Built-in Massage Function
Things to Consider:
- Expensive – A luxury option, not a budget-friendly choice.
- Large Size & Extremely Heavy – over 715 pounds
IW-R1 PRO Zero Gravity Reclining Workstation
For something cheaper than the Acer Thronos Air, IW-R1 PRO Zero Gravity Reclining Workstation is definitely worth considering.
This workstation is one of the most advanced gaming setups available with probably the best chair I’ve seen with these rigs. It includes a leather massage seat and can recline upto 137 degrees. The LED spine supporting the monitors, is solid and a beautiful focal point to complement the triple monitor display.
This one also comes with LED lighting and built in speakers which makes adds to the overall features. The build itself is also sleek in design giving a more futuristic premium look rather than robotic or gaming focused.
While this does recline and adjust, the monitor only adjustment is quite limited and some people find that it’s position is a little too far away from the seat. There are custom ways to set it up but at the same time this could bring some difficulty because of the lack of adjustability.
Please not it’s also a heavy piece of furniture weighing 400 lbs, making moving and building difficult with the need to recruit multiple friends to aid you in the build. The brand is also not so well known, so another thing to consider before making any decisions.
Key Features:
- Advanced Gaming Workstation – One of the most high-tech setups available.
- Leather Massage Seat – Premium comfort with up to 137° reclining.
- Triple Monitor Support – Features a solid LED spine for stability.
Things to Consider:
- Limited Monitor Adjustability – Some users find the screen position too far.
- Heavy Build – Weighs 400 lbs, lighter than the first 2 but still heavy.
- Lesser-Known Brand
Cooler Master Orb X
The Orb X I mentioned earlier by Cooler Master is a luxury option made for both gaming and a workspace.
It features a motorized shuttle dome for better privacy and focus when working, along with support for a single 34-inch monitor or up to three 27-inch displays, making it perfect for multitasking or deep immersion. This one has Built-in 2.1 surround sound speakers and an excellent ergonomic seat with lumbar support.
You also get ARGB lighting with customizable ambiance and a hidden PC/console storage compartment to maintain a clean aesthetic. But do note, this is even heavier than the PRO Zero Gravity workstation at approximiately 757 pounds and the price is much more expensive too, making it more comparable to the Acer Thronos.
Key Features:
- Luxury Gaming & Workstation Hybrid With Lighting and Surround Sound – Designed for both gaming and productivity.
- Multi-Monitor Support – Holds one 34-inch monitor or up to three 27-inch displays.
- Hidden PC/Console Storage – Keeps the space clean and organized.
Things to Consider:
- Extremely Heavy & Large size – Weighs approximately 757 lbs, making it difficult to move and set up.
- Very Expensive
EaseComfy Ease Pod Pro
If you want something alot cheaper for your everyday use, EaseComfy also make an affortable option for a work and gaming computer cockpit called the ease pod pro. This one supports upto 2 monitors and can recline electronically upto 148 degrees which is even more than the luxury options mentioned on the list.
The design is a lot more subtle but still enough to keep it the showcase feature of a room. The screens have a lot of adjustment range including forward and backwards motion for a closer view and it’s marketed as one of the most affordable workspace computer cockpits on the market. But do keep in mind that this is not an enclosed or even semi-enclosed workpod like some others on the list and the brand is also a lesser known one too.
Even though it’s still heavy at around 100kg, it’s still much lighter than the others on the list.
Key Features:
- Sleek & Subtle Design – A standout feature without being too bold. Weighs 100kg.
- Supports Up to 2 Monitors With Impressive 148° Electronic Reclining
- More Affordable Computer Cockpit Work Station.
Things to Consider:
- Lesser-Known Brand – May not have the reputation of premium competitors.
- Not Enclosed – Unlike other work pods, it lacks full or semi-enclosure.
Newtral Magic H Ergonomic Office Chair
For a computer cockpit work station that’s even lighter and cheaper, we’d need something that takes away alot of the features but still keeping it’s main purpose.
For that, the Newtral Magic H Ergonomic Office Chair ticks alot of boxes. You won’t get the electric reclining, premium build and multi-display support. But it does have a purpose built design for Adaptive Lumbar Support and comfortable headset. The chair’s backrest automatically adjusts to your movements, offering continuous support and promoting a natural S-curve for your spine.
The desk tray isn’t as premium as the other cockpits, but it’s simplistic design makes working from home much more comfortable. You can easily remove it from the chair and it has a seamless fit, however it’s more for a laptop rather than computer. You can get added brackets for mounting monitors too but there are no cases for storing a computer.
Of course this one is much lighter at only 54 pounds and it requires much less space than the other work stations. However, this one can be seen more like a really erganomic computer chair with a table rather than a computer cockpit. But having said that, I think it works really well as a work station.
Key Features:
- Lightweight & Space-Saving With Monitor Mounting Options – Weighs 54 lbs, much smaller than full cockpits.
- Adaptive Lumbar Support & Comfort headrest – Backrest adjusts automatically for continuous spine support.
- Detachable Desk Tray – Simplistic and ideal for laptops.
Things to Consider:
- Not a True Computer Cockpit – Functions more like an ergonomic chair with a tray.
- Basic Desk Tray – More suited for laptops than desktop setups.
I’ll try make a video about more computer chairs in the future if you’d like to see a list of best options out there for those too!
These things definitely grab attention, but like I said earlier, if you’re going for the ‘pod’ type, they’re huge in size and you’d need to not only consider your space but also how you’d get the thing delivered. They can be really heavy and most likely need 2 to 3 people to set up, not to mention the hefty price tag as well, so definitely do consider those things too before making any decisions on getting a work or gaming pod!
